_{The little girl had a step ladder in her stall. It was the only way to get the saddle on her mare, who stood very quietly, just munching on the little bits of hay that was left in the hay bag. She loved riding and to do it, she did most of it alone. Her very successful parents wanted her to do well, but didn't want to step foot themselves into a barn. She beckoned Dakota's head to lower and the mare obeyed, Mary pulled on the bridle and straightened her jacket. As she walked through the barn towards the arena she wore a smile. She could hear the other competitors and their whispers about how she shouldn't belong here, but she kept smiling and kept moving. Climbing up into the saddle was difficult but she did it with a smile. Taking a warm up lap around the arena she bounced back and forth as Dakota stepped out. 
"Our next, and youngest competitor, Mary Giles from the United States, riding her Capilloque mare, RHE A Star's Silver Heart of Gold. Making her way to the top of the arena she will be riding in the Regular Dressage class, and if I can speak for the rest of the crowd today, boy does that smile and spark really just light me up inside. I think she has a lot of spark and she is destined for greatness.}
